Digital Storytelling
After 30 years working in the nonprofit sector, I decided I had one more career in me and decided to realize a lifelong desire to study journalism formally, and in 2015 received a masters in Digital Journalism and Design from USF-St. Pete.
This enabled me to combine my many years of experience in philanthropy with new tools. Now I use not just the pen, but cameras, recorders, lights and tripods to bring to digital life some of our nation’s most effective social change leaders telling their own stories of hope and inspiration.
Clients and Fellowships include: The Social Journalism Network, Flathead Lakers of Montana, Acumen Fund in New York City, the International Research and Education Exchange (IREX), Fair Food Network, Communications Network, Planned Parenthood of New York City, National Parks Conservation Association, Trout Unlimited, Headwaters Montana, American Rivers,
Also part of this portfolio are articles I have written, songs I have composed and a website I created — because if I am going to reveal the joys and passions of my subjects, I figure you might as well know my own.
